Gondolatban, emlékekben 26 évet kell visszamennünk innen 7200 m-re, a kínai Kanszu tartomány déli részéig, amikor a faj egyik legészakabbi termőhelyén, Bikou környékén botanizálva gyűjthettük a Cephalotaxus fortunei magjait, melyek egyik utóda "termőre fordult" Tanösvényünkön.
